All Saints nursery visit Christmas Decorations
The residents enjoyed the visit of the nursery school children from All Saints school. The pupils gave a delightful concert of carols, some very traditional and others less familiar but all with great finesse and enthusiasm.

First the children were escorted into the middle east where they joined three magnificently attired kings who also were looking for the baby Jesus. Magically the children retraced their steps to find that the manger had appeared from nowhere. There they sang ‘Away in a manger’ to the baby Jesus and helped the Kings give their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

With this task completed they climbed the stairs to find a scene from Disney with Cinderella and Buttons, the ugly sister and the wicked stepmother, the fairy godmother, Princess Fiona and Shrek, Tigger, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Snow White and the wicked Witch and Lightening MacQueen and driver. A Disney fantasy with real life characters.

Their next climb led them to top floor where they were greeted by the Smurfs. Papa Smurf, Nanna Smurf, Doc, Sleepy and even Smurfette. The children were also able to see some of the evil work that Gargamel had done and were able to report back to Father Christmas to ensure that the evil man did not get any presents this year!!!!

If you think that this excitement was enough then the children had other ideas. They then magically found Santa’s grotto. The man himself and Mrs Claus were there and helped by that naughty Rudolph. They had a chat with  him and told him what they were hoping for at Christmas before he gave each and every one of them a bag of sweets.

They then all met up again with the residents in the main lounge and the pictures of the residents help to convey the delight that the children had given them. After a glass of orange the children again sang for the residents and then left in their coach back for school  to tell their friends all about there day.
