Christmas Fayre.. This year with a difference.
Held on 23 November 2013. The joy of Christmas can be expressed by us seeing one of the residents who normally has difficulty swallowing being seen to be so overcome by the event that he ate Christmas cake and a pasty as if he were 18 again.
The event was so well supported not only by residents and their families but families whose loved ones are no longer with us.
The support of the staff many of whom not only gave up their Saturday off but spent previous days and evenings preparing the wonderful produce on offer.
As usual the funds go to the residents for special treats over Christmas, but this year a donation to the Phillipine disaster also benefits.
Top floor’s stall was full to overflowing with all manner of goodies.
The jewellery stall did fine trade in fairy ear rings and tree decorations
The cake stall was full of very tempting delights
The cup cakes were soon snapped up. Really special designs
The tombola stall was very popular, well done ground floor
Beryl with her family were enjoying looking around .. And buying!
