Christmas parties are not just for children!
When we look at these memories of our Christmas party 2011, we see that our residents enjoy being able to join in the singing and percussion whenever we have the chance. When this is joined to a splendid buffet then  it is all so much better.

The Christmas party was an example of this. Residents, families and friends all joined in together to make this a special occasion.

It is amazing how music is such a stimulant to us all. Some of the residents who would not normally choose to be sociable sang along and even played the other musical instruments made available to them. Only if had been there would you realise how much the day meant to so many residents.

Our thanks go to Hank Edwards who selected a selection of songs that everyone could join in with. Not only that but he performed them superbly.

The party was preceded by presentations to many members of staff by Katie Tempest the deputy Chief Inspector for CSSIW the inspection arm of the Welsh Government.

It was obvious by the comments from residents how much the care and consideration given by members of staff mean to them. Some residents consider certain staff members as ‘new’ members of their own family.
